Chelsea Lakin, LPCMH, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Delaware who supports individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and pursue meaningful growth. She has approximately 10 years of experience in the mental health field, including work with children, adults, couples, and families in school, community, and office-based settings.
Chelsea earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wilmington University. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress management, and substance use concerns.
Her approach is collaborative, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. She incorporates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, mindfulness-based interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and play therapy. Chelsea works to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.
Clients can expect a thoughtful and supportive therapeutic relationship that honors their strengths, goals, and lived experience. Chelsea helps clients build insight, develop practical coping tools, and move toward lasting emotional well-being at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable.
