Melissa Whitehead

Melissa Whitehead, PMHNP-BC, MSN, has spent the past 11 years working with patients across all age ranges in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. She earned her ADN from Delaware Technical Community College, followed by her BSN from the same school, and later completed her MSN, PMHNP at Walden University. After seeing gaps in her community’s access to quality mental health treatment, Melissa was motivated to advance her education and expand her ability to provide care. She completed her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner board certification in 2023, which helped lead her to her current work in the mental health field.

Melissa takes a holistic approach to mental health care, considering how the mind, body, and life experiences all play a role in overall well-being. She believes in working collaboratively with clients and values their autonomy, supporting them in making informed treatment decisions that align with their goals and preferences.
